Roles, posts, positions and jobs
Within FReC, there are certain formal roles. Apart from the specific role, everyone is also “Allround Member” and everyone thinks about and helps with organizing the different activities.
Chairman
The Chairman presides over meetings and is the representative and spokesperson (e.g. towards Stenden). This person has overall responsibility towards all activities organised by FReC, general policy, setting up meetings, preparing the agenda and communication between members of the committee. And also, making sure the members get their study credit (ECTS) after each semester.
Vice-Chairman
The Vice-Chairman substitutes the chairman during absence and helps the chairman with its responsibilities.
Treasurer
The Treasurer makes up a proper budget before the start of each semester and checks this with the FReC bank account. This person also manages all financial transactions on behalf of FReC and makes a financial overview at the end of each semester for school’s International Office and the other members of the committee.
Secretary
The Secretary makes minutes every meeting, is responsible for incoming and outgoing mail, and keeps information about (new) students up-to-date.
Publishing
The Publishing member is responsible for creating a photo book at the end of each semester (“Faces & Places”). This person is also responsible for publicizing articles and ads on e.g. CHNet, StendenTimes and other media. And finally for designing flyers, posters and other promotional material.
Webmaster
The Webmaster keeps the website and the Facebook group up-to-date, uploads media (pictures or video) to facebook and opens/closes the digital sign-up forms for activities.
Sponsoring/PR
The Sponsoring member is responsible for the acquisition of and negotiations with (future) sponsors, sponsoring contracts, and communication between FReC and sponsors.
Allround
Everyone is an Allround member. They are responsible for organising activities and parties, and keeping the calendar (google, facebook, website) up-to-date. Ideally, we have an activity once every two weeks.
Party
Ideally, when we have a lot of members, we like to have our very own Party committee, responsible for organizing a party at least once every two weeks. In the past we have done this in collaboration with ESN.
