Coffee shops

Although it is not what they are famous for, coffee shops do actually serve coffee. You can order soft-drugs here a la carte. You are allowed to use soft drugs in Leeuwarden, which you will usually smoke in a coffee shop. Remember that it is illegal to deal, so only buy for your own personal use. Beware to avoid the combination of drugs and alcohol. The best places for you to go are the following, but be sure to only use soft drugs with care:

  • Grand coffee shop Repelsteeltje (Grote Hoogstraat 44)
  • Coffee shop De Os (Korfmakersstraat 2)
  • Coffee shop Downtown (Wortelhaven 85)

Cinemas

In Cinema and Tivoli you will find the latest movies. English and American movies are in English, with Dutch subtitles.
