Short Stay Solutions (www.sshxl.nl) offers on the spot availability of furnished accommodation. This is the housing office that’s working with Stenden University to provide the exchange students with housing.

Burmania
A more remote location in the North of Leeuwarden. This used to be a refugee center, but now it’s inhabited by students.
Egelantierstraat
This is the newest location and has nice accomodation in the east of Leeuwarden. It’s so new, it’s not even on the old Google Maps images. But hey you can always check it out on Google Street View! 
Kanaalstraat
Close to the city and concidered very partyable.
Mondriaanstraat
Very nice apartmentbuildings in the northeast of Leeuwarden.
